How do guests RSVP on Joy vs HeyVite?
Joy’s RSVP flow matches guests by name: a guest enters their name, the system finds them on the guest list, and they reply for their party. Their help pages describe an optional “Restrict RSVP To Guest List” setting (Strict Name Matching) that tightens who can respond, though the match must be exact: a “Chris Smith” on the list who types “Christopher Smith” will not be recognized.
HeyVite inverts the flow: instead of guests finding themselves on a list, each guest receives their own private link that already knows who they are. There is nothing to type or match, no way to peek at anyone else’s invitation, and no name lookup at all unless the host deliberately switches name-search on for an open event.
