Five options for sharing an invitation in WhatsApp, with the free limits, RSVP tools and guest experience explained before you choose.

For a designed invitation with private guest links and browser RSVPs, HeyVite is free for up to 75 guests per event. For a larger casual gathering, consider Evite Event Pages; for a social party, Partiful; for a quick invitation without accounts, Whocan; and for a card image you will send yourself, Canva. The right choice depends on whether you need a picture, a shared event page or individual invitations with tracked replies.
A WhatsApp invite can be an image, a document or a link. An image is easy to send, but you still need somewhere to record the replies. The invitation platforms below use links to collect RSVPs; Canva is included as a design option for hosts who are happy to manage replies separately.
How we chose these options: each has a usable free offering and an invitation you can share through WhatsApp. We reviewed official product and help pages for free scope, sharing, RSVP tracking and guest access. We did not conduct hands-on tests of the competitor services. HeyVite publishes this guide and is our product; the order is a reading guide, not an independently awarded ranking. For designed invitations and individual guest replies
1. HeyVite
Free for up to 75 guests per event, with every design and feature included.
Choose a design or upload your own, add the event details and guests, then share each guest’s personal invitation link in your WhatsApp conversation with them. Guests open the invitation and RSVP in their browser without an app, account or phone verification. Attendance, plus-ones and meal choices gather on your event dashboard.
The guest list is private by default. Share personal links individually: anyone holding a guest’s link can view and reply to that invitation. You send the WhatsApp message yourself; HeyVite does not automatically message your contacts. Events above 75 guests require a paid guest-capacity plan, so check the cap before building a large event.
A free event page for up to 750 guests, with a shareable link and RSVP tracking.
Evite Event Pages let you add an image or GIF, event details and signup lists, then share the event link by text or another messaging channel such as WhatsApp. This is a separate product from Evite’s Free and Premium Invitations.
The tradeoff is social visibility: Event Pages currently show the guest list to other guests, without a setting to hide it. Co-hosts are not included. Reminders are not sent automatically when you only share the link yourself, because those guests have not been added through Evite. It suits open, casual gatherings more than a private guest list.
A free party page with RSVPs, guest interaction and an event link you can paste into WhatsApp.
Partiful’s shared event page works well when guests want the party details, the social context and an easy way to respond. Its official pages describe a free service, RSVP questions and host controls for who can see the guest list. Share the event URL in WhatsApp instead of creating a separate card for each guest.
Guests can open the invitation in a browser, but replying involves entering their name and phone number and verifying with an SMS code. Consider that step if your guests would prefer an RSVP without phone verification. The choice here is less about design versus design, and more about a shared social party page versus a personal guest invitation.
Free themed invitations and RSVP tracking, with no account required for hosts or guests.
Whocan lets you choose a theme, enter your event details and share the resulting URL through WhatsApp or another messenger. Its RSVP tools collect attendance, headcounts and dietary requests. The no-account workflow is useful for a simple gathering where you want to get a link out quickly.
Whocan says all invitation features are free, with no premium tier. Its guest invitation pages are ad-free; its invitation-list page carries non-intrusive ads. Compare the available themes and editing options with your design needs before choosing it for a highly personalised invitation.
Free invitation layouts you can edit and share as a finished design.
Canva offers free party invitation layouts and a visual editor for changing the text, colours and images. Download a finished invitation and send it in WhatsApp when your main requirement is the artwork. Check the chosen assets and export options before finishing, since not every element or feature is part of the free offering.
Sending a card image does not itself record who is attending. For that workflow, ask guests to reply in chat and maintain your own list, or pair the design with an RSVP page. You can also upload the finished artwork to HeyVite and use personal invitation links if you want your own design with tracked replies.

How to choose a free WhatsApp invitation platform
Start with your guest count. Check that the free limit covers everyone before you spend time on the design, and check how the platform counts additional guests. A large free allowance matters most when you are planning a gathering that exceeds the smaller platforms’ caps.
Next, decide how guests should reply. A card image is enough if you are collecting a handful of answers in chat. For a meal count, plus-ones or a longer list, choose a platform that records responses centrally. Check the guest experience too: an account, app download or SMS code may be an extra step for your audience.
Finally, check who can see the guest list and how the link is shared. A common event URL is convenient for an open party. A personal guest link is better suited to individual invitations, but should stay in that guest’s conversation. Neither the word “free” nor a polished card tells you how guest access works.
How to send a free WhatsApp invitation with HeyVite
1. Create your event, choose an invitation design or upload your artwork, and add the date, venue and RSVP details. Start free for up to 75 guests per event.
2. Add your guests. Copy the personal invitation link beside the guest’s name, then paste it into your WhatsApp conversation with that guest. Include a short message such as “We’d love you to join us. Your invitation and RSVP are here: [personal invitation link].”
3. Guests open the link and reply in their browser. Check the event dashboard for attendance, plus-ones and meal choices. Share each personal link individually rather than posting one guest’s link to a group; whoever holds it can reply as that guest.
WhatsApp is the delivery channel, while HeyVite holds the invitation and replies. You send the messages from your own WhatsApp account; there is no automated WhatsApp campaign or contact import involved in this workflow.
Quick, sourced answers about WhatsApp invitations.
What are the best free platforms for WhatsApp invites?
Useful options include HeyVite for designed invitations and personal guest links, Evite Event Pages for larger casual gatherings, Partiful for social parties, Whocan for a no-account workflow and Canva for card artwork. HeyVite is free up to 75 guests per event. Choose based on free limits, guest access and whether you need RSVP tracking.
Can I send free WhatsApp invitations with RSVP tracking?
Yes. Share an invitation link from an RSVP platform in WhatsApp. The guest replies on the invitation page and the platform records the response. Sending only an image or PDF leaves you to collect replies separately. HeyVite, Evite Event Pages, Partiful and Whocan offer link-based RSVP workflows.
Do my guests need an app or account?
It depends on the platform. HeyVite guests RSVP in a browser without an app, account or phone verification. Whocan says hosts and guests do not need accounts. Partiful allows browser access but requires a phone number and SMS verification to RSVP. Check guest requirements before sharing your event.
Can I put one invitation link in a WhatsApp group?
Use a shared event link when the platform offers one and you intend the invitation to be accessible to the group. HeyVite personal guest links should be sent individually: anyone holding a guest’s link can view and reply to that invitation. Do not publish one person’s link as the group invitation.
Does HeyVite automatically send WhatsApp messages?
No. You copy or share each guest’s personal invitation link through your own WhatsApp account. HeyVite can send email invitations; the WhatsApp workflow is manual sharing, with RSVPs collected on your HeyVite dashboard.
Are these free trials or ongoing free options?
This guide includes usable free offerings rather than trial-only sending. HeyVite’s free plan covers up to 75 guests per event; larger events need paid capacity. Other platforms have their own limits and feature boundaries, and Canva includes paid options alongside free layouts. Check the linked official pages for current terms.
